Unity: The emotion and power that binds a country together. Not just any country, India. This is what Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India, strived for and lived by.

On the occasion of the 148th birthday of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Indian Coast Guard organised a Run for Unity on Tuesday, 31 October 2023. It was a round trip of approximately 5 km marathon run promoting unity, physical fitness, and a sense of achievement among students from various schools. It exemplified the importance of coming together for a common cause and living a healthy lifestyle, which started and ended at the regional headquarters of the Coast Guard, Worli. About 350 students participated in the marathon, accompanied by the coast guard personnel who took utmost care of the participants and cheered them up all the way long.
